I am a journalist and photographer based in Hong Kong, where I edit on the Financial Times Asia news desk. Previously, I wrote the Europe/Africa edition of FirstFT, our essential morning news briefing.

 

Previously, I reported for TIME's Asia bureau and contributed to the 2018 Person of the Year package, among other magazine cover features. I have covered Southeast Asia as a reporter, editor and photographer for seven years, reporting from Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Singapore and Thailand for international publications as well as local media.

As the Online Editor at The Myanmar Times, I drove live coverage of Myanmar's historic 2015 election — the first democratic poll in 25 years — to record readership, and oversaw a website redevelopment.
